A kitchen chair is all I need
At the studio I use a portable massage chair. Anywhere else, an ordinary kitchen chair does the job. You stay in your own clothes the whole time and there's nothing to get on or off.
The work through the neck and shoulders and into the upper back is the same work I would do on a table. It just happens sitting up, so it is the same thirty minutes whether we do it at the studio or in your own kitchen. It's $45 for thirty minutes.
When this is the right answer
Book this one if getting down onto a table and back up again is the hard part of your day. It also works when lying flat is uncomfortable, or you get short of breath, or a hip will not allow it.
And if you have never had a massage and it's the undressing that is putting you off, staying dressed takes the whole question away.
It is also the one to pick when you are booking for somebody else and you aren't sure how much they will take.

Completely. No oil, no draping, nothing to change out of.
Can you do this for someone who can't really tell you what they need?
Yes. We go slowly and I watch more than I ask. Whoever knows them best should tell me what a good day looks like for them and what they don't like, and I take my cue from that.
Is it as good as a table session?
It reaches the neck and shoulders and the upper back, and not much else. For a full body at depth you need a table or a bed.
